Zach LaVine Leads Bulls to Comeback Victory in Toronto, Forcing a Game 7
Chicago Bulls Extend Playoff Hopes with 12-0 Run
In a thrilling NBA Play-In Tournament matchup, the Chicago Bulls rallied from a 12-point deficit to defeat the Toronto Raptors 114-113 on Wednesday night. Zach LaVine led the Bulls with 26 points, including a crucial 3-pointer with 1:02 remaining to give Chicago the lead for good.
The Raptors controlled the game early, leading by as many as 17 points in the first half. DeMar DeRozan, who played for the Bulls from 2018-2021, scored a game-high 34 points for Toronto.
But the Bulls, who were facing elimination, refused to go down without a fight. They chipped away at the lead in the third quarter and took their first lead of the game early in the fourth. LaVine's 3-pointer gave the Bulls a 111-110 advantage with just over a minute to play.
The Bulls held on for the victory, which forces a Game 7 in Chicago on Friday night. The winner of that game will advance to the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
