VfB Stuttgart: A Look Back at the 2006-2007 Season
Assistant Coach Leaves Club
Stuttgart, Germany - Following a disappointing season that saw VfB Stuttgart finish 11th in the Bundesliga, assistant coach Armin Veh has left the club. Veh, who had been with Stuttgart for three years, is expected to join Bundesliga rivals Borussia Dortmund.
A Season to Forget
The 2006-2007 season was a difficult one for Stuttgart. The team struggled for consistency throughout the campaign, and a lack of goals proved to be their undoing. Stuttgart finished the season with just 43 goals scored, the second-fewest in the Bundesliga.
Veh's departure is the latest in a series of changes at Stuttgart. The club has also parted ways with sporting director Jochen Schneider and goalkeeper Timo Hildebrand.
It remains to be seen who will replace Veh, but Stuttgart will need to make some major changes if they want to improve on their disappointing performance this season.
