Dodgers Sign Cavan Biggio
Former Blue Jay Joins Los Angeles
Cavan Biggio, the son of Hall of Famer Craig Biggio, has signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers after being released by the Toronto Blue Jays. The utility player is expected to provide depth to the Dodgers' infield and outfield.
Biggio, 28, has played in the majors since 2019, spending his entire career with the Blue Jays. He has a career batting average of .234 with 33 home runs and 112 RBIs. He can play second base, third base, and the outfield.
The Dodgers are hoping that Biggio can provide a spark to their offense, which has struggled at times this season. The team is currently in first place in the NL West, but they have lost four of their last six games.
Biggio is expected to make his Dodgers debut on Friday against the San Francisco Giants.
