England ease to victory over Switzerland in final Euro 2022 warm-up game

England Women ended their preparations for Euro 2022 with an emphatic 4-0 friendly win over Switzerland in Zurich on Thursday evening.
After going into the break goalless, the Lionesses took control of the game in the second half with Alessia Russo opening the scoring soon after the restart.
Georgia Stanway doubled England's advantage with a stunning strike from distance before Beth England made it 3-0 with a close-range finish.
Jill Scott then sealed the win in the dying seconds with a goal that was greeted with wild celebrations as if it had been a winner in a major final.
The victory maintains England's unbeaten run under manager Sarina Wiegman and gives them a major boost ahead of their Euro 2022 opener against Austria on July 6.
