How to Pair Multiple Remotes to Your Fire TV
Step-by-Step Instructions
To pair additional remotes with your Fire TV device, follow these steps:
1. Navigate to Settings
On your Fire TV, access the Settings menu by using the navigation buttons on the existing remote.
2. Download and Launch the Fire TV App
On your smartphone or tablet, download the Fire TV app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
Once installed, open the app and sign in with the same Amazon account associated with your Fire TV device.
3. Pair Remote via App
Within the Fire TV app, navigate to the "Remotes" section. Here, select "Add New Remote".
Follow the on-screen instructions to put your original remote into pairing mode. Then, press the Home button on the new remote to complete the pairing process.
4. Replace a Broken Remote (Optional)
If your original remote is broken or malfunctioning, you can replace it using the same pairing method described above.
Simply press the Home button on your new remote to enter pairing mode. The Fire TV device will automatically detect the new remote and complete the pairing process.
Additional Tips:
* You can pair up to 7 remotes with a single Fire TV device. * If you experience any pairing difficulties, reset both your Fire TV and the remote by unplugging them for a few seconds and then plugging them back in. * You can also use your paired remote to control other compatible devices, such as smart TVs and soundbars.
